As someone who writes about interior design and shopping for a living, I think a lot about the items I bring in my space. Since I'm always searching for that perfect mix between form and function, I spend an ungodly amount of time scouring the web for the best of the best. So when I saw that Nordstrom restocked its site with home decor pieces that are equal parts practical and pretty, I audibly gasped, filled my e-cart to the brim, and obviously had to tell you all about it.

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with candles, and this Les Citadines Holographic Candle ($53) had me at the word "brioche." (A carb-inspired candle?! It doesn't get better than that. With a cool holographic canister and rich notes of vanilla, milk, and caramel, this one appeals to all of the senses.

Santa, if you're reading this, I would very much like Smeg's Automatic Espresso Coffee Machine ($799) for Christmas. Not only is this espresso machine ridiculously chic, but it'll also help me get my non-stop busy days off on the right foot. Let's be real, waking up to a creamy cappuccino sounds like a dream.

If you want to give your holiday decorations a mindful approach, might I recommend this Nordstrom Crystal Snow Globe ($29)? Thanks to the crystal configuration, this pick will look good shaken or still.
