Dairy Queen's New Churro-Dipped Ice Cream Cones Are Sprinkled With Cinnamon Sugar

Crispy, warm, and rolled in cinnamon sugar, the churro might be the ultimate fried dessert. On Feb. 27, Dairy Queen soft-launched their take on the crunchy treat with a new Churro-Dipped Cone sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Garnering inspiration from the classic dessert, the limited-edition ice cream cone consists of vanilla soft serve dipped in a creamy churro-flavored coating.

Available nationwide in kid, small, medium, or large sizes, the new menu item makes its debut after limited trials over the last few years. "The Churro flavored cone coating tastes like a white chocolate churro flavor then they dust cinnamon sugar on top adding a nice texture," one customer said of the treat on Instagram on March 2. "Rating it by taste I would give it a 9/10 because it does have a really nice churro flavor."

In addition to the churro-inspired cones, the ice cream giant also revealed the new Blizzard of the Month: a mint brownie Blizzard Treat. The dessert is a combination of vanilla ice cream, minty crème de menthe, blended brownie pieces, and chocolate chunks. In honor of St. Patrick's Day on March 17, the brand has also brought back the beloved Shamrock Shake and introduced a new Under the Rainbow Shake made with vanilla soft serve, strawberry flavor, whipped cream, and rainbow sprinkles.

On March 20, Dairy Queen will celebrate the first day of spring with Free Cone Day. The unofficial holiday allows guests to enjoy a free small vanilla soft-serve cone at participating, non-mall locations nationwide.
