Shhh! Just in time for the High Holy Days … Acme Smoked Fish, the fourth-generation family-owned business that sells its products at places like Zabar’s, Barney Greengrass and Zucker’s Bagels and Smoked Fish, as well as across the country, also opens its doors to the public every Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 30 Gem St. in Greenpoint, Brooklyn — for 20 to 50 percent off typical retail prices.

“Fish Friday!” exclusives include lemon pepper salmon and Gary’s Special, which changes weekly.

On Friday, Gary’s Special — from Gary Brownstein, production manager for more than 40 years — will be Thai chili cold smoked salmon and Thai chili hot smoked salmon.

“‘Fish Friday!’ was started to serve the community. We had people coming during the weekdays trying to buy our smoked fish. Now, we’re happy we can open our doors once a week on Friday mornings to the community,” said Emily Caslow Gindi, Acme’s director of customer service and a member of one of Acme’s founding families.
