Beat the summer heat with adult slushies in Kips Bay

Fancy a summer slushy with a grown-up twist?

Kips Bay’s latest cocktail bar is offering its signature drink on tap — the Stay Cold, a frozen bourbon and beer slushy.

The drink’s name is a twist on Stay Gold, the name of the bar, at 360 Third Ave., between 26th and 27th streets. The 2,000-square-foot space was formerly The Mad Hatter.

Stay Gold is the latest venture from Matt Piacentini and Chaim Dauermann, owners of The Up & Up in Greenwich Village.

The bar holds 150 people in three separate spaces: a 20-seat bar upfront, a back lounge with booth seating and its own marble-topped bar, and a garden that seats 40.

Stay Gold’s menu is from head bartender Kacie Lambert and features cocktails like Disco Volante, made with Aperol, Fords Gin, Absinthe Clarified Milk and Lemon; and Bye Birdy, with Tru Garden Vodka, Strawberry-Basil Tincture, Lemon and Seltzer. Basic bar snacks include “Fancy Triscuits” with caviar, crème fraiche and boiled egg.
